Annual Bannockburn Celebration

The Caledonian Society of Rome requests the pleasure of the company of all
its members to the Annual Bannockburn Celebration to be held on Thursday
16th June at 20.00 at the St. Andrew's Pub in vicolo della cancelleria (just
off Corso V.Emanuele).
There will be NO charge for members who are entitled to a snack (hamburger
and chips, salad or the like) and a "reasonable" amount of spirits - any
additional consumption will have to be paid directly to the barman (at the
reduced Cal. Soc. rates).
The event will include a sing-along session, a Scottish pub quiz, Dancing,
darts and an end of season raffle. The City of Rome Pipe Band will also
be present practising and would gladly play for those present. The Pub has
been reserved for our exclusive use from 20.00 till dawn.

Since this is our end of season event before the summer break we have
decided to make this a MEMBERS only event.
However if you would like to bring a friend please check with me first as
the friend will be charged a small entrance fee and will have to pay for
own food and beverages.
With regard to the Highland games event due to the heat and the fact that
many now go to the seaside over the week-end we have decided to postpone
this to the autumn. This will give all of you time to get "fit" for tossing
the caber and practice the art of three-legged running!
