The Caledonian Society of Rome

St.Andrew's Cross

About the Gaelic motto on this website.

The Gaelic translation of the motto arrived hot from Scotland. It is from Rory Macdonald of Runrig ( www.runrig.co.uk ) fame, a native of NORTH Uist. It is not the exact translation of the motto but very similar. Literally it means “Welcoming Scotland in Rome” .
